Bruce Smith, VMD, PhD

Advisor
A molecular geneticist and veterinarian, Dr. Smith brings 30 years of experience to the
design and clinical implementation of gene-based medicines. Professor Smith currently is
Director of the Auburn University Research Initiative in Cancer (AURIC).

Pedro Tetteroo, PhD

Michael Whitt, PhD

Advisor
Trained as a molecular virologist with expertise in VSV reverse genetics and use of VSV
as an oncolytic vector. Dr. Whitt served as the former Chair of the Department of
Microbiology, Immunology and Biochemistry at UTHSC and is currently the Associate Dean
