Job Description - Chief Medical Officer at Humane Genomics, New York
Humane Genomics has developed a state-of-the-art platform to engineer oncolytic viruses using synthetic biology. The RNA-based oncolytic viruses have unprecedented specificity and efficiency. Our first indication is pediatric liver cancer. We are based in New York City and backed by amazing investors (2048 Ventures, Tencent, Union Square Ventures, YCombinator).
About the role
This is a key leadership role that will make major contributions to the company and position it for future success. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with our Chief Science Officer. You will be in charge of clinical development and regulatory affairs. You will lead the collaborations with academic centers and hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Strategically decide on what clinical indications to pursue.
- Manage collaborations for the selected indications with other physicians.
- Establish relationships with key influencer physicians and stakeholders.
- Lead clinical trial strategy & development.
- Lead regulatory affairs strategy & development.
About you
- M.D. with board certification or training in oncology.
- 10 years minimum experience in translational medicine and oncology.
- Experience in leading clinical trial strategy and operations.
- Track record demonstrating successful submission of IND, approval-directed filings is preferred (BLA’s or NDA’s).
- Ideally experience working in a biotech startup.
